MAIN COURSE TUTOR:

Bill Harris

Bill Harris RSA Certificate TEFLA ; RSA Diploma TEFLA
Bill is one of the most experienced CELTA trainers around and has trained teachers all over the
world – from Hanoi to Zurich and New York to Khartoum! He was one of the core trainers for
International House, Hastings before becoming freelance.
Bill is a regular at IATEFL conferences and has given talks on topics as diverse as ‘organic
teaching’ , how to promote quality teacher talk and working with lexis in texts.
He is one of the teachers featured on the DVD accompanying the new edition of Jeremy
Harmer’s Principles of English Language Teaching. His lesson features two of his main interests
– teaching elementary learners and working on pronunciation.
Outside of ELT, Bill’s main interest is music and he can be found playing guitar and singing in a
weekly folk session whenever he is home in Hastings. He travels with guitar and usually manages
to find a singing session on his trips abroad.

Sandra Furnari

Sandra Furnari lives in Geneva where she has recently returned to after having taught English for
the past ten years in various countries such as Tunisia, England and Italy.
She has taught English to a wide range of students from Very Young Learners to Adults, mainly
for the International House Organization but also as a freelance teacher and a University lecturer
in Enna, Sicily. Sandra was brought up in a multilingual environment (English, French, Italian)
and is passionate about sharing her experience in language acquisition and learning techniques.
This led her to join in 2012 the CELTA teacher trainer “family” with great enthusiasm.
