CELTA – Entry Requirements

The official requirements stipulated by Cambridge are:

• Have a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education
• Be aged 20 or over (applicants between 18 and 20 may be considered)
• Have a standard of English which will enable you to teach at a range of levels (C2 or high C1 on the CEFR)

Please note that a degree is essential for those who wish to work in certain countries.
